An award winning documentary about the life and art of world renowned Armenian ceramic artist Marie Balian. Balian’s art is known worldwide, and her unique style has influenced many. For 40 years she has painted traditional designs on tiles that have become one of the most popular Jerusalem made artworks. The film focuses on her monumental work "The Glimpse of Paradise" - a 1000-tile mural which she donated to Jerusalem as a homage for hope and peace. The film is presented by Prof. Nurit Kenaan-Kedar, a leading Israeli art historian. Beautifully done, fascinating and moving, it depicts one of the living icons of the Jerusalem art world.
